Chickpea salad with dressing

For Salad:

  • Carrot – 1/2 cup (shredded)

  • Tomato – 1/4 cup (chopped)

  • Chickpea – 1/2 cup (cooked)

  • Raisins– 1 tbsp

For Dressing

  • Olive oil – 1 tsp

  • Lemon juice – 1 tsp

  • Salt – 1 tsp

  • Pepper powder – 1/2 tsp

  • Yoghurt – 1/2 cup


  1. To prepare the dressing, combine the ingredients in a small bowl; stir the mixture well.

  2. To prepare salad, combine carrot, tomato and chickpeas in a large bowl.

  3. Pour the dressing over channa mixture, tossing gently to coat.

  4. Finally garnish with raisins and serve.

Nutritional highlights - Chickpeas are rich in protein, potassium, iron and calcium. Carrots are rich in vitamin A and fibre. Tomatoes are rich in vitamin C and vitamin A. Yoghurt provides calcium and protein. Raisins are rich in iron, calcium and potassium.
