Feeding Practices:

Babies at this age binge throughout the day in portions. So, stock up on those healthy grabs on the table and kitchen cabinets.

Foods like fresh/grilled fruits and vegetables, cooked pastas and healthy alternatives like nuts, dry fruits, chickpeas, cherries, home-made savouries, and ladoos are good choices. Over a course of time, these handy healthy munches can instill healthy eating patterns.

At this stage, you may consider introducing cow’s milk in small quantities, approximately 50 ml under your pediatrician’s guidance.

If you are still worried about introducing plain boiled milk, try to add it in recipes like kheer and milkshakes. Wait for 24 hours and look for any allergic symptoms before offering it a second time and gradually introduce them to family foods and mealtimes with varieties and flavours in their diet.
