Do’s & Don’t for Infant Formula Feeding!
Here are some of the do's & don'ts to look out for. Do’s At first, do not buy just one type of baby bottle. Try and see which kind and type of bottle your baby likes. Buy in bulk, you will save money Ask your pediatrician for samples and suggestions. Check the expiration date on the formula container. Store the formula in the back of the refrigerator. Discard the formula which has been in the fridge for more than 24 hours. Encourage & emphasize cleanliness. Wash your hands properly. Make sure you sterilize the bottle, rings, caps, and the nipples. Don’ts One should not make their own formula. There is no way to replicate the same nutrition and quality at home. Not to feed your child (directly) cow milk or any other animal milk before the age of 1. Avoid storing it is resued/old plastic bottles. Find one brand that works for your child and do not switch them in between as they have digestive issues. Do not heat/warm the bottle in a microwave. It can create spots that are hot in the milk that can burn your aby’s mouth. Do not try and get your baby to finish the bottle as it leads to greater chances for weight gain.
