Nuts and Dry fruits Ladoo

  • Dates (remove seeds) –

  • Nuts (Almonds, walnuts, pistachios, cashews) – 2 – 3 .nos each

  • Ghee – 2 tsp

  • Coconut, shredded – 1 tsp (optional)


  1. Remove the seeds from the dates or use fresh/de-seeded dates.

  2. Dry roast or ,microwave the nuts for few minutes in a low flame without getting burnt until you see the color change or you get a fine roasted aroma. Cool them and powder the nuts coarsely in a mixie.

  3. In a non stick pan, add ghee, then the dates and sauté for 2 min. Do not get it burnt.

  4. Now add the nuts powder to the dates and mix well…

  5. Grease your hands with ghee and make into desired shapes like balls, or use mould to press and make the desired shapes.

  6. · Roll it over the coconut to give a different taste.

Tips – You can include raisins, figs to give it a different taste. You can make more quantities and preserve it in air tight containers for 4-5 days.

Nutrition HighlightsDates are good source of iron and fiber. Almonds, cashews, walnuts and pistas are good sources of protein and essential fat. Altogether they also contain good calories to boost the energy levels in kids.
